So often we feel as if we are alone in the world with our situation. Then we look around and are pleasantly surprised to find what helps is just waiting, that we use them.

Not bad-mouth your previous employer! You do not burn any bridges. You never know who could be in your corner, ready to help you and then find out you have it in the trash. Be civil to all. This should go without saying. Unfortunately, when disrupted, can we Curt to a secretary or surly we encounter a stranger in a hotel lobby. Then we find out the stranger is interviewing you for a job! The "golden rule" seems outdated to many. But the time will never be good old respect for the rest of humanity to go out of fashion.

If you have not read "What Color is Your Parachute" by Richard Bolles to the bookstore or library and get a copy. This book should be required reading in all schools. From an early age, we should be taught the principles of this classic book. It is known as the Job Hunter's Bible. For good reason. The inspiration you get from reading this you will fire like nothing else!

Unemployed, should be considered as a gift. (do not shoot the messenger) This may be a time to re-evaluate and explore what you really want with your life. Many of us stay in the workplace no longer enjoy because of inertia. It is simply easier to stay in our Ruth. As suddenly discharged and entered the nest, forcing us to get out of the comfort zones.

Someday you can look back on this period as a turning point, and grateful that it happened. After all these things can not be changed. If this setting, you are in a position of a better job, more money and happiness.
