patent for a technical invention

patent for a technical invention
beginning this year, the renowned Time magazine came with a problem on the previous year's great inventions, an annual practice. There were many things that computers work more efficiently and the things around the house better. It was a bicycle with a hydrogen fuel cell engine. Why there was even a robot cat, who recognize and follow speech commands.

An interesting group as a whole. The cat probably would have had from time as his invention of the year, but no. That honor went to a dog. And no, it is not a robot dog, either. It does not follow commands or not any special tricks. It was just an ordinary living, breathing Afghan dog. Except for one thing: It was a cloned dog, the first of its kind in the history of science.

Yes, the cloned dog Snuppy was Time magazine's "Invention of the Year" for 2005.

Snuppy has 45 fathers, namely a 45-man team of Korean scientists from Seoul National University or SNU. And this is where Snuppy got its name from the combination of "SNU" and puppies. He was born on April 24 last year, and follows the trail behind the "Dolly the sheep, cloned in 1996, as only the second ever cloned mammal in the world.

There is nothing really extraordinary about Snuppy, with the exception of the fact that it is a cloned dog. And that's the most beautiful, what about him - that there is nothing odd or unusual about him and he looks as natural as all the other dogs designed from the womb, unless that Snuppy not from a womb. He came from a cell in an Afghan's ear, from where thousands of dog embryos were created. More than a thousand of these embryos were about 120 females and a total of three pregnancies. Two of the three died, one because of a miscarriage and the other due to pneumonia. Snuppy was the only survivor. It was his first big test.

Now, his next big test in order to live. Dolly the sheep died after six years. And that is the yardstick that the creators are looking to Snuppy.

Snuppy foundation has after some controversy, that its chief creator, Hwang Woo Suk, was examined possible fraud in his experiments. However, a thorough investigation of the government Snuppy and his DNA has shown without doubt that he is a legitimate cloned dog.
