1. Find out about the in and out of the patents, product development and marketing invention. There is a lot you can on your own. 4. Rent is not the services of an all-in-one invention submission companies. Many use fraudulent methods and invite you (at least). Even those who have legitimate shortcomings. Inventing and marketing are not the best of all-in-one stores. 5. Keep good records of your invention in a laboratory notebook and have periodically witnesses sign it. Save your receipts and keep it professional.

6. Make the best prototype you can afford. At least, drawings, photos or a model that is good enough to show your invention. This will help you and your doctor more patents unique characteristics and the strength of the patent. It will also help you if you plan for investors, licensors or marketers.

7. Speak with other inventors. Find out what challenges they are and how they overcome. Networking with other inventors may lead to useful references, such as the trust for a patent search, patent practitioners, etc. ..

8. Set realistic deadlines for the procedure and all possible contacts, such as investors, licensees, manufacturers and consumers in a professional manner.

9. Recognize that there is a risk associated with the patenting and marketing your invention, not more money than you need - definitely not for everything you have. As far as possible on their own before any setting.

10. Do not let the excitement you have for your invention blind you from reality.

11. Do not give up - keep trying to expect that some refusals and over it quickly.

12. Do not expect someone else to do the difficult work for you.
