ever a new product and say:" Why did not I think of that? "Well, if you stop to think about it, probably every one of us has an idea for either a new product, believe we are capable of a new product idea or knows someone else who has a new product idea.

For an idea of the magnitude of new product ideas and activities, I did a quick search on the word "inventor" on Google and came back 9300000 websites. If you are the same thing with the "invention" 18000000 You bids. We are not talking about hundreds or even thousands, but tens of millions. The generation of new product ideas or inventions in our world is enormous. But when most people stop to think about the people who they were, with new ideas, they are happy, also the one who has reached any kind of success with their idea.

How many of you have successfully created a new product or know someone who has successfully marketed, that the new product idea? My guess is, if only a few available.

Why is it that with so many new ideas, there are so few commercial successes?

My experience in the corporate world and an independent consultant, leads me to believe that it all boils down to a lack of understanding. First and foremost is a lack of understanding of the customer really is, what they expect from the product and what they are willing to pay for it. This is by far the most common deficiencies in most inventors offers. I can not even begin to count the number of people who spent their entire budget on products, patents received and the development of sales materials, without knowing who the customer is, how the product is used and what the consumer is ready to pay the product.

In today's world, know everything about the customer is crucial. Almost 40 years old when I started in business, the buyers of the products in various retail knew more about the customers than any other on the market. Today, people move so fast that there is very little knowledge about the consumer. The inventor must now do the work, to do the dealer and the dealer and the buying so simple that it is a no need for its channel of distribution partners.

As if that were not enough, the inventor must also select the option that are available to install the product on the market and the balance against the time, money and drive that are available, the success in the market. The more the inventor knows about their own motivation, the easier it will be, choose among the options. Although it is not impossible, to find out what options are available, this is an ideal time to get help from the outside into the options and evaluating how each option fits that particular inventor. This can be done with an industry expert consultants, advisors or possibly by a careful reading of the "Guide for the U.S. hardware market."

According to the inventor has a clear picture of the product, the consumer and the possibilities for marketing the product, they must then the different channels to your product on the market and how to use the product on this channel. How will this product also things such as pricing, packaging, advertising and service. All must be based on the specific channel, which is best for your needs.

Once you have addressed all these areas to understand, you have the basis for a plan to market and the next step is to perform. Even the most well thought out plans can fail if there is no way to feedback and modify the plan as needed.

There are so few people who take the necessary steps to introduce an invention or new product idea that it is no wonder, we know no more successful entrepreneurs.
